For All Juniors and Sophmores

After my week and half hiadus from church i have been doing alot of college stuff, and sitting at home nursing my ankle. And after a very frustrating college application process whcih by the way is not even close to over i have picked up some nuggets of wisdom which i would like to dispence amongst the younger generation.

A) By the end of junior year you should have your list of 4-12 colleges which you want to apply and have an actual interest in going to
B) Check for strange requirements for certain schools, (ala Quinnipiac, who requires a college visit for all incoming undergrads)
C) Start your college essays in August (Check www.commonapp.org for schools that are on the common application, if they are not you have to go directly to their site to apply)
D) If you want to visit colleges visit during your Junior year in school so you know where you want to go plus you wont be doing it in a rush during senior year
E) Make sure you know what you are doing, if you do not ask somebody who has recently applied to college, or a guidence counselor
F) Ask your teachers for recommendations early, before everyone else does.
G) Get everything done, dont procrastinate (Time is very valuable, if you send in things late, it could determine weather or not you get into a school)

If i had know mayb 2 of these things my experiences would be a lot less stresfull. And Much EASIER. But i didnt and know im stessin out, and it's really annoying AHHHHHhhHhHh.

so this is my first post, and i just want to say that blogging is a good ting, but people dont use xanga anymore so i've moved, hopefully people are interested in my life. I just like to write i guess. yep.
